Born as a partnership between Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault, Flechas de los Andes is a direct result of the research of the great terroir at the foot of the Andes in the Mendoza region. Maintaing the same quality as the 'Gran Corte' (yes, we emailed the 'Gran Corte' in April for $32.99), the 'Aguaribay" is hand-picked, hand-selected, and then fermented using the most modern equipment available.
The 100% Malbec Aguaribay is cold-soaked before fermentation to extract color and complexity from the grapes. It is then fermented in stainless steel tanks where 30% is then transferred to second-use oak barrels.
The fruit is bright and complex in this Malbec with dark cherry, mineral and smokey notes. This kind of complexity is rarely found in wines of this price point. There is a reason the Rothschild and Dassault families are willing to put their names behind this wine!
